TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By booking services with Rocket Movers LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), the customer (“Customer”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. MINIMUM SERVICE & BILLING
• A 3-hour minimum applies to all local moves.
• After the minimum, billing is in 15-minute increments.
• Time begins upon crew arrival and ends upon completion at the final destination.
• Travel time is included in billable time.
• Rates may vary on weekends and month-end dates.
All estimates are non-binding unless based on a visual (virtual or in-person) survey.
2. DEPOSITS & SCHEDULING

• A deposit is required to secure a move date.
• Failure to pay deposit 48 hours prior may result in cancellation.
• Deposits are applied to the final invoice.
• Same-day cancellation may result in forfeiture of deposit and minimum labor charges.
3. PAYMENT TERMS

• Full payment is due upon completion of services.
• Accepted payment methods:
• Cash
• Credit/Debit Cards
• Zelle
• Venmo
All electronic payments are considered final once processed.
Customer agrees not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting the Company to resolve the issue.
Failure to pay in full may result in legal collection action.
No offsets, partial payments, or withholding of payment are permitted.
4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer agrees to:
• Be present at pickup and delivery unless prior written authorization is provided.
• Ensure safe and unobstructed access.
• Reserve elevators/loading docks where applicable.
• Secure pets.
• Empty drawers and appliances.
• Disclose items over 300 lbs or requiring special handling.
• Arrange lawful parking.
Customer is responsible for any parking citations or building-related penalties.
5. ADDITIONAL FEES (IF APPLICABLE)
Heavy Items (300+ lbs on stairs): $150 per item
Upright Piano : $150 (on stairs)
Heavy Items (450+lbs ground to ground approved only): $250 per item
Grand Piano (ground-to-ground, approved only): $250
Hoisting (balcony access): $150
Overnight truck hold: $150
Carpet shield: $50 per roll
All specialty services must be disclosed in advance.
6. WORKING CONDITIONS & RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service due to:
• Unsafe conditions
• Structural instability
• Unsanitary environments
• Hazardous materials
• Aggressive or abusive behavior
If service is refused upon arrival, deposit may be forfeited and a minimum labor charge may apply.
7. VALUATION COVERAGE
Unless additional coverage is purchased in writing prior to the move:

Liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per article.

This is released valuation coverage and is not insurance.
8. CLAIMS & DAMAGE REPORTING POLICY
8.1 Inspection at Delivery

Customer must inspect items at delivery.Visible damage must be:

• Noted on the Bill of Lading prior to signing, AND
• Reported in writing within 48 hours.Failure to do so creates a presumption that shipment was delivered in good condition.
8.2 Concealed Damage

Concealed damage must be reported within 7 calendar days.

Failure to report within this period voids the claim.

Company reserves right to inspect before repair or disposal.
8.3 Formal Written Claims

Local (Ohio intrastate):
• Written claim required within 30 days of delivery.

Interstate:
• Claims must be filed within 9 months per federal law.

Claims must include:
• Move date
• Description of item
• Description of damage
• Photos
• Weight (if applicable)

Incomplete claims may be denied.
8.4 Payment Condition

Full payment is required before claim review.

Claims are not processed on move day.
8.5 Exclusions

Company is not liable for:

• Customer-packed boxes without external damage.
• Internal malfunction of electronics without visible impact.
• Pre-existing damage.
• Particle board / ready-to-assemble furniture structural failure.
• Extraordinary value items not declared in writing.
• Claims reported outside required timeframes.
9. ITEMS WE DO NOT MOVE
We do not transport:
• Propane or hazardous materials
• Weapons or ammunition
• Jewelry
• Cash
• Prescription medications
• Important documents
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Rocket Movers LLC shall not be liable for:
• Indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
• Loss of business or income.
• Delays caused by weather, traffic, or third parties.

Total liability shall not exceed applicable valuation coverage.
11. INTERSTATE COMPLIANCE
For interstate moves, services are subject to applicable federal transportation regulations, including the Carmack Amendment where applicable.

Customers acknowledge that federal rules may govern valuation and claims procedures.
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & ARBITRATION
Small Claims Exception

Either party may bring an individual claim in Small Claims Court in the State of Ohio if eligible.

Mandatory ArbitrationAll other disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration:
• Conducted on an individual basis only.
• No class or collective actions permitted.
• Governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
• Held in the State of Ohio unless otherwise agreed.

30-Day Opt-Out

Customer may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of booking by written notice.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

Venue for disputes shall be located within Ohio.
14. SEVERABILITY
If any provision is deemed unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect.
15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties.

By booking services, Customer acknowledges agreement to these Terms.
